Survey on prevalence rate of nosocomial infection in a tertiary traditional Chinese medicine hospital from 2008 to 2021
Objective To understand the current situation of nosocomial infection in a traditional Chinese medicine hospital, promote the medical staff's awareness of nosocomial infection control, provide basis for nosocomial infection control and prevention and effective targeted monitoring. Methods Using the cross-sectional survey, the current situation of nosocomial infection, the infection site, the utilization rate of antimicrobial agents, and the rate of pathogenic examination of all inpatients in the survey days from 2008 to 2021 were collected and statistically analyzed. Results The investigation was conducted in 14 consecutive years. The actual investigation rate was 98.85%-100.00%,the annual incidences of hospital infection were 0.73%-2.39%.A total of 162 strains of pathogens were isolated. The infection sites were mainly lower respiratory tract, urinary tract and upper respiratory tract. The utilization rates of antibiotics were 29.86%-54.89%.Among them, the proportion of preventive drug was 5.39%-22.98%,therapeutic drug was 73.60%-90.77%,and treatment+preventive drugs were 2.22%-8.39%.One-drug therapy was 54.35%-87.35%,drug combination was 12.65%-45.65%.The detection rate of pathogens using antibiotics was 14.00%-93.50%.Conclusion The prevalence rate of nosocomial infection surveillance in the hospital for 14 consecutive years was generally stable, the management of antibiotics had achieved good results.
