Analysis of HBV and HDV coinfection and HBV genotyping among entry-exit population at Gansu port
Objective To investigate the coinfection of HBV and HDV,detect hepatitis B virus genotypes among entry-exit personnel in Gansu port, then provide a scientific basis for the prevention and control of hepatitis B and hepatitis D at Gansu port. Methods The HBsAg positive serum samples of entry-exit people who took health examination at Gansu International Travel Healthcare Center from 2017 to 2022 were collected,HDV antibody and HBV S gene partial sequence were detected by ELISA and PCR.HBV genotypes were performed using the virus typing tool of NCBI online, and subgenotypes were determined by Mega 11 software to construct evolutionary trees. Results In 2017-2022,a total of 672 HBsAg positive serum samples were collected from entry-exit people who took health examination in Gansu International Travel Healthcare Center. One case of HDV antibody positive and 322 cases of HBV DNA positive were detected.118 cases of HBV DNA positive were genotyped successfully,11 cases were genotype B,51 cases were genotype C,55 cases were genotype D,and 1 was type E.Among the genotype B,7,2,1,1 cases were B2,B4,B1 and B6 subtype.Including 42 cases of C2 subtype,6 cases of C1 and 3 cases of C5 in genotype C.Among the genotype D,44,7,4 cases were C/D recombinant genotype,D1 and D3 subtype. Conclusion The entry-exit population in Gansu port, the mixed infection rate of HBV and HDV was low.The dominant genotypes of HBV were C and D,the subtypes were mainly C2 subtype and C/D recombinant genotype.
