Knowledge,attitude and practice about COVID-19 among entry-exit persons at Chongqing port
Objective To understand the status of knowledge,attitudes and practice towards COVID-19 among entry-exit persons at Chongqing port,and to provide suggestion for health education and promotion.Methods A self-made questionnaire was used to investigate the entry-exit persons who underwent infectious disease surveillance at Chongqing International Travel Healthcare Center from April,2023,about knowledge,attitudes,practice and information acquisition channels related to COVID-19.Results A total of 270 questionnaires were collected,of which 248 were valid,resulted in an effective response rate of 91.85%.The general awareness rate was 81.55%.There were statisti-cally differences in the general awareness rate among people in urban and rural areas(P<0.000 1),educational levels(P=0.002 9)and whether they were infected(P=0.003 1).85.48%of the surveyed respondents believed that the measures had brought the epidemic under control,82.26%believed that COVID-19 vaccine was useful,85.48%be-lieved that masks were useful for preventing COVID-19.65.32%of the surveyed respondents mainly obtained rele-vant information through television and radio.Conclusion The cognitive levels and protective awareness rate regard-ing the COVID-19 among individuals involved was relatively high.However,differences in cognitive levels were ob-served among different populations,further health education was necessary to strengthen.
