The structural forms of sheet pile wharves are increasing in foreign construction projects, and the sheet pile walls and breast walls of wharves are mainly divided into two types:onshore construction and over-water construction.Onshore construction requires early filling of cofferdams, which incurs high construction costs and prolongs the construction period;the over-water construction process of the breast wall is complicated and the construction safety risk is large, which has a certain impact on the project schedule and quality. This paper introduces the process of sheet pile pier breast wall for the Persada 6B berth project in Obi Island,Indonesia. The project uses a torque balanced bottom formwork design, which avoids underwater welding operations by suspending the bottom formwork and installing it as a whole. The torque balance conditions of the bottom formwork during construction are analyzed and calculated, and the process is successfully implemented through project practice.
