The main span of the south channel bridge of the Zhangjiagang-Jingjiang-Rugao Yangtze River Bridge is a 2 300 m integral steel box girder suspension bridge, which is the world's largest span suspension bridge at present. The south tower adopts the world's first ultra-high steel box-steel pipe constrained concrete composite cable tower, and the foundation cap adopts an octagonal structure. In combination with the hydrogeology of the bridge site and design requirements,a lock buckle steel pipe pile cofferdam is set up around the cap as a construction enclosure structure, and later it will also serve as permanent erosion protection and ship collision energy dissipation facilities for the bridge.During the construction process, the construction process of using crawler crane+vibration hammer/impact hammer combined with special guide frame to drill into the spacing hole effectively solves the problems of the sinking and closing accuracy of the ultra-long lock buckle steel pipe pile; The use of techniques such as processing the support into a truss for overall installation, excavating the foundation and cleaning the cofferdam wall of the casing, pouring underwater bottom sealing concrete in separate warehouses, and laying steel plates at the bottom of the conduit greatly reduces the difficulty of on-site construction, and ensuring the pouring quality of underwater bottom sealing concrete for ultra-large foundation pits, which provides useful reference for the construction of similar deep foundation pits in the future.
