Based on the construction of the cable pier foundation of the Xiangluzhou Bridge in Changsha,the key technologies of manufacturing,launching,floating,precise positioning and implantation for double-wall steel cofferdam were studied by comprehensively considering the factors such as geology,hydrology,coastal landform and lifting capacity in the bridge site,and the construction technology to accurately determine large steel cofferdam with vertical segmentation,horizontal looped connection,whole floating transport and platform anchoring system was put forward.The proposed technology can ensure the successful construction for steel cofferdam in the field of deep water shallow cover layer,which was proved by field practice.This paper can provide a reference for similar projects.
