The final joint of immersed tunnel is the last pipe segment before closure, and it is also the most difficult one to design and construct. The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link immersed tunnel adopts the form of an integral prefabricated push-out final joint.A new push-out method with jack push-out as the main and hydraulic push-out as the auxiliary system was proposed. From the preparation of construction drawings and schemes to on-site testing, the risk management research was conducted in stages to sort out the risk situation in each stage, while identifying major risks.Combined with significant risk content, effective response measures such as process tooling design, supportive testing, and drills were taken in combination, forming a unique final joint risk management system, which can provide reference and inspiration for similar projects in the future.
