Study on improvement and testing of self-switching circulating valve for horizontal well filling service tools
With the continuous refreshing of horizontal open hole length, conventional packing tools need dynamic string displacement to realize the switch from positive cycle packing to reverse cycle sand punching channel. In the process of filling long horizontal wells, there is a common risk of sand sticking in the emergency tubular string.Based on this, this paper takes the 152.4mm open hole tool as an example to develop a self-switching circulating valve.Through finite element simulation, the equivalent size of the flow in two channels is optimized, and the functional test and running well test are carried out.The design requirements of the minimum turn-on pressure difference of 0.5MPa and the reverse pressure of 35MPa are achieved. It can meet the operation requirement of automatic switching of reverse circulation channel in case of emergency in the filling process and provide safety guarantee for the sand control operation of offshore horizontal well filling.
