In order to meet the development needs of construction projects in the new era,the goal of energy saving and consumption reduction is achieved.Therefore,this paper takes a building construction project as an example,expounds the types and connotations of the commonly used exterior wall insulation and energy-saving technology in building construction,analyzes the specific application of exterior wall insulation and energy-saving technology from three aspects of energy-saving design,insulation construction and performance inspection,so as to play a practical role in improving the quality of building exterior wall and saving energy and reducing consumption,in order to provide support for the development of the building industry.
