Analysis of the force performance of the steel-composite hybrid structure bridge tower of Shunde Bridge
The cable tower of Shunde Bridge adopts a hybrid structure bridge tower with steel upper tower and steel-concrete composite structure lower tower, which is a novel structural design. In order to investigate the force performance of the new hybrid structure bridge tower,a refined finite element model(FEM)considering the force of the steel-concrete connectors was established. The force transfer mechanism and the force distribution law of the composite structure bridge tower was analyzed. The results show that:the key of force transfer in the joint section of the steel-composite hybrid structure tower is to transfer load from steel to concrete. The bearing plate can effectively improve the load transfer efficiency and reduce the local stress of the steel structure and the force of connectors. It indicates that the effective combination of the steel and the concrete was ensured by the application of multiple-cell section type and the setting of steel-concrete connectors.
