Experimental study on water migration of gravel soil subgrade in arid area of Xinjiang
In order to explore the water migration characteristics of gravel soil subgrade in the arid area of Xinjiang, samples were taken from the original subgrade soil in Hami area, and temperature and water content were monitored in real time through the indoor soil column test of gravel soil,so as to analyze the influence of different cold end temperatures on water migration. The results show that the temperature at each measuring point during the freezing stage of the soil sample decreases rapidly first and then slowly with time, and finally maintains a stable change characteristic. The farther the soil sample is from the cold end temperature, the greater the influence of the warm end temperature. The moisture content of soil samples at different cold end temperatures generally increases first and then decreases.Affected by temperature, the moisture content of soil samples is redistributed, and the moisture content peaks at different positions away from the bottom of the soil sample. The lower the cold end temperature is,the position of the freezing front drops, and the unfrozen water at the edge of the freezing front continuously gathers towards the freezing front, and the moisture content increases obviously.
