Study on application of new composite flocculant in municipal wastewater treatment
As an important part of wastewater treatment,flocculation effect determines the quality of wastewater treatment,and the flocculant is the main factor affecting the flocculation effect,a new kind of inorganic polymer magnetic polyaluminum zinc silicate-chitosan composite flocculant FAS-1 was prepared from Fe3O4 nanoparticles,sodium silicate,aluminum sulfate,zinc sulfate and chitosan.By changing the dosage,pH value,temperature and settling time,the influence of factors on the flocculating effect was studied,and the flocculating effect of the flocculants prepared in this study was compared with that of other flocculants.The experimental results show that the optimal dosage of the new composite flocculant is 20mg/L,pH 8,settling time should be controlled at 30 min,and no matter in normal temperature (30℃) or extreme temperature environment,the flocculation performance has little change,and the temperature adaptability is strong.The flocculation performance is better than that of various kinds of flocculants commonly used in the market,and the adaptability to different types of pollutants is stronge.
