Application of airborne lidar technology in site selection and mapping of power plants
Airborne laser radar technology, utilizing laser pulses to measure distances between the ground and aircraft, generates high-precision terrain data. This technology finds widespread application across various fields, particularly demonstrating unique advantages in power plant site surveying. Through precise terrain data and geographic information systems, airborne laser radar technology can provide detailed views of key terrain features and potential obstacles, offering decision support for power plant design and construction. This paper systematically elaborates on the application process of airborne laser radar technology in power plant site surveying, from initial preparations to data acquisition, and then to data processing and analysis. Each stage is comprehensively detailed, aiming to demonstrate how to leverage this technology to optimize the geographical location selection for power plants, ensuring both environmental suitability and project economic viability.
