Application of anterolateral femoral perforator flap for different types of wounds of the extremities
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of the anterolateral femoral perforator flap in repairing different types of wounds on the limbs. Methods From November,2019 to August,2022,anterolateral femoral perforator flaps were used to repair complex wounds on the limbs of 14 patients, including 10 males and 4 females. The age ranged from 6 to 77 years, with an average of 51 years.Among them,2 cases with forearm soft tissue defect combined with vascular injury underwent Flow-through flap bridging;9 cases with hand, foot or ankle joint wounds were treated with thin skin flaps without deep fascia;and 3 cases with knee joint soft tissue defect were treated with deep tissue reconstruction of fascia lata flap. There were 13 cases of free transplantation and 1 case of pedicle transfer repair. Results Perforator flaps and donor sites healed at the first stage after surgery for 14 cases with no vascular crisis. All cases were followed up for 6 to 36 months. All flaps looked well, and no further thinning or surgery was performed.Sensation recovery:S2 for 5 cases,S3 for 7 cases, and S3+for 2 cases. Conclusions Individualized anterolateral perforator flap has good application value for different types of wounds on the limbs
