Research progress of platelet-rich plasma in wound repair
Platelet-rich plasma(PRP)is a concentration of platelets obtained by centrifugation of blood, which has been widely used in orthopedics, stomatology and other disciplines. The healing process of wound consists of three stages:inflammation, proliferation and remodeling, which are regulated by various growth factors and cytokines.Platelet-rich plasma contains a variety of growth factors, which can accelerate the proliferation and differentiation of cells, promote the synthesis of extracellular matrix. It also has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial characteristics, and is increasingly used in promoting wound repair.Based on the relevant researches on PRP in wound treatment at home and abroad in recent years, the preparation of PRP,the mechanism of PRP promoting wound healing, the application of PRP in wound repair and its advantages and disadvantages are reviewed.
