Current status and research progress of surgical treatment of recurrent patellar dislocation
Recurrent patellar dislocation(RPD)is a common type of knee disease that affects adolescents, especially those with skeletal dysplasia. If left untreated or inappropriately treated, knee disability may occur. At present, there is no unified conclusion on the diagnosis and treatment of recurrent patellar dislocation at home and abroad, and the current surgical methods are mainly selected based on bony anatomy and abnormal soft tissue injury. At present, the treatment of recurrent patellar dislocation is based on medial patellofemoral ligament(MPFL)reconstruction, combined with tibial tuberosity transfer, trochleoplasty, distal femoral rotational osteotomy, and knee valgus osteotomy. However, due to the indications and characteristics of various surgical procedures, there is no unified standard for surgical procedures. This article reviews the pathological anatomy, surgical treatment options and existing problems of recurrent patellar dislocation.
