Comparative Studies and Review on Legal Regulations of Cross-Border Data Flow from the Perspective of RCEP
With the rapid development of digital trade,cross-border data flow,as a key element of digital trade, plays a pivotal role in the development of the digital economy. However, the current legal regulation of cross-border international data flow has not yet been systematized, and developed economies represented by the European Union and the United States have actively formulated digital governance systems suitable for their own development based on their international influence, which directly leads to data security risks for developing countries. The RCEP agreement opens up a third regulatory path for cross-border data flows. From the perspective of RCEP,by comparing the rules of cross-border data flow between China and RCEP,we will further deepen the concept of free flow of data in China, improve the key systems in China's cross-border data flow rules, strengthen regional cooperation on cross-border data flow and the voice of developing countries in the field of cross-border data flow, and contribute China's strength to building a community with a shared future in cyberspace.
