Examining the successful creation of the"Chinese-style modernization"within the broader context of"big history"since the Opium War of 1840 and the historical process of China's interaction with the world,we can gain a more historical,in-depth,and scientific understanding of the historical origins,accumulations,and sublimations of"Chinese-style modernization."Modern China's exploration of modernization has undergone a tortuous journey of exploration,from the"material"self-strengthening plan to the"reform"self-strengthening plan,the"Westernization"self-strengthening plan,and finally the"independent"self-strengthening plan,experiencing the arduous explorations of the Westernization Movement,the Hundred Days'Reform,and the Xinhai Revolution.The May Fourth New Culture Movement became a historical turning point in Modern China's exploration of modernization.It was precisely on the historical accumulation of Modern China's continuous exploration of a path to modernization that the Chinese people,under the leadership of the Communist Party of China,through the New Democratic Revolution,the Socialist Revolution and Construction,and especially the Reform and Opening-up,finally succeeded in opening up a new path of Chinese-style modernization characterized by the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
