Analysis of the sedimentary evolution process of crevasse splay based on seismic sedimentology and sedimentary physics simulation:An example from the lower section of Minghuazhen Formation of K oilfield in Bohai sea
To clarify the distribution characteristics of sand bodies in the lower section of the Minghuazhen Formation of K oilfield in Bohai sea and to provide a reference basis for the next target selection, seismic slices of stratum attribute were selected and combined with logging characteristics to establish the seismic attribute faces.Additionally, the sedimentary evolution process of this section was analyzed, and a comparative sedimentary physics experiment was designed to verify the results. The results of the study are as follows:①The average negative amplitude best reflects the deposit characteristics of the area and this attribute is best integrated with the logging curve characteristics.Five seismic attribute faces are established and correspond to strong hydrodynamic crevasse-splay deposit, weak hydrodynamic crevasse-splay deposit, meandering river deposit, distributary channel deposit, and floodplain deposit.②The K oilfield in Bohai sea mainly develops crevasse splay deposits, which are divided into three parts, namely floodplain deposits and crevasse-splay deposits in the early stage, channel deposits of upper and down splay cuts and distributary channel deposits in the middle stage, and meandering river deposits in the later stage, with a more obvious planar difference distribution.③The physical simulation experiment is divided into depression filling, splay modification, tributary development and convergent oscillation periods, which correspond well with the sedimentary evolution of the lower section of the Minghuazhen Formation of K oilfield in Bohai sea,and well validate and reproduce the evolution of the river outfall systems. The above understandings refine the sedimentary evolution of the lower section of Minghuazhen Formation of K oilfield, which is beneficial to the exploration and evaluation of the area. And the physical simulations experiment also provides a new research method.
