Reasons for the low efficiency of rock dilation in low-permeability reservoirs and reservoir stimulation technique in offshore oilfields
In response to the problems of long operation time, vulnerable downhole tools, and low efficiency in the application of rock dilation technology in low permeability reservoirs,a new approach is proposed to apply the fragmentation and expansion mechanism in the field of rock mechanics to the transformation of petroleum engineering reservoirs. This paper conducted numerical simulation sensitivity and well case analysis of rock dilation technology.Firstly, the micro mechanism of rock fragmentation and dilation is analyzed. The combination of the pre-simple hydraulic fracturing, rock dilation, detonation fracturing, and rock dilation have been proposed to achieve rock fragmentation and expansion processes. Finally, the further research directions for numerical simulation, physical simulation, and crack monitoring technology are pointed out.The results indicate that the main reason for the low efficiency of rock expansion in low-permeability reservoirs is that the worse the physical properties, the worse the expansion effect gradually becomes. The rock fragmentation dilation reservoir transformation process can utilize a combination of various process technologies to form complex fracture networks to improve the implementation effect compared to existing technologies. The research results of this article can provide reference for the further development and optimization of low-permeability reservoir transformation technology.
