Exploration and practice of data governance for exploration and production of CNOOC
The digital intelligence transformation in the main exploration and development business field of oil and gas enterprises is an important way to cultivate new quality productivity and achieve high-quality development.Data governance work is the foundation for realizing digital intelligence transformation.By analyzing the current status of data governance in Chinese and foreign oil and gas enterprises,it pointed out that China National Offshore Oil Corporation(CNOOC)faced three challenges in the data governance of oil and gas exploration and development:long business chain,high technical requirements,and great management difficulty.Based on the overall idea of the data governance system of exploration and development with CNOOC characteristics,covering three basic capabilities of"organizational drive,basic governance,and platform support",two core tasks of"data integration and application integration",and a series of"value scenarios",seven main measures of data governance were proposed.The measures included establishing a five-in-one organizational system,developing a data asset catalog,formulating data standards,improving data quality,ensuring data security,building a data platform,and promoting data and application integration.The typical effects of CNOOC's data governance have been initially reflected.In terms of field operations,it can fully support the construction of intelligent oil and gas fields such as"Qinhuangdao 32-6"and"Deep Sea No.1"energy station.In terms of research and design,it can provide full-professional data support for the integrated collaborative research platform for exploration and development.In terms of management decision-making,it can provide convenient data services for the integrated business and finance platform.The exploration and practice of CNOOC in the data governance of exploration and development can provide valuable experience and enlightenment for other oil and gas enterprises.
