Construction and application of CNOOC's integrated collaborative research platform for oil and gas exploration and development
In offshore oil and gas exploration and development, the diversity of data types and multidisciplinary knowledge required often necessitate the use of various specialized software for conventional treatment and interpretation, resulting in complex workflows. In the context of digital transformation in the oil and gas sector, enabling effective collaboration across different disciplines and organizations has become a key focus. To address the specific challenges of offshore exploration and development,an integrated collaborative research platform was designed, targeting three primary areas:data support, tool support, and collaborative research scenarios.Core technologies include low-code configurable application development, data exchange with specialized oil and gas software, and AI-powered big data applications.A demonstration in the deepwater Baiyun Sag area of the northern South China Sea highlights that the platform contributes to the integrated collaborative research of exploration and development across disciplines and organizations, which reduces data collection time from days to minutes and increases research efficiency by over 20%.These results demonstrate the platform's ability to enhance data application quality and reduce operational costs in offshore exploration and development. This study,as part of CNOOC's digital transformation efforts, provides valuable insights for advancing collaborative research technology in offshore oil and gas exploration and development.
