A change impact analysis method for data governance based on exploration and development data lake
With the advancement of digital transformation in oil and gas enterprises, the issues related to data collection, aggregation, management, processing, and application due to data changes are becoming increasingly prominent in the exploration and development field. This paper proposed a processing logic and methods to deal with change impact analysis for exploration and development data based on a set of meta-meta models, meta models, and metadata, which is abstracted from CNOOC exploration and development data lake platform.Based on the metadata management solution, the core data storage structures of the exploration and development data lake platform, such as data standard management and data model management, have been integrated. The management of meta models, metadata, and metadata link analysis can be achieved by using change impact analysis tools, and all downstream change impact analysis results, including data models, data quality, and data resources, can be automatically generated. The change impact analysis of data governance based on exploration and development data lakes can solve the problem of data inconsistency in data collection, management, and application during the data governance process through technical means and improve the overall quality of data. The proposed change impact analysis method of data governance in this article can help promote the efficient application and value realization of data assets and improve the efficiency and quality of business analysis and decision-making.
