A Review on Interaction Modes in Technology-Empowered Foreign Language Classrooms in Higher Education
This paper provides a systematic review of research on interaction modes in technology-empowered foreign language classrooms in higher education, aiming to explore the current research status and existing gaps.Through analyzing relevant literature,it is found that teacher-student interac-tion,peer interaction,human-computer interaction, and multiple interaction are the four primary modes of interaction in technology-empowered foreign language classrooms. The academia has ex-plored these interaction modes to varying degrees and formed basic understandings. However, there is still a need for improvement in theoretical frameworks, research methods, and practical applications. This paper thus suggests that future research expand theoretical perspectives, innovate research meth-ods,and focus on enhancing the effectiveness of interaction through strategy training. This review aims to provide valuable insights for foreign language educators, helping them better address the opportuni-ties and challenges of interaction in technology-empowered foreign language classrooms.
