Objective To analyze the therapeuticeffect oftransparent capunder emergency gastroscopyin the adjuvant treatment of upper esophageal foreign body(UEFB).Methods 75 patients with UEFBwho received treatment in thehospital from January 2018 to January 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to the surgical treatment methods,they were divided into gastroscopy treatment group(n=36)and transparent cap adjuvant treatment group(n=39).The vital signs,success rate of foreign body removal and treatment tolerance were compared between the two groups.Results The treatment tolerance in the transparent cap adjuvant treatment group was better than that in the gastroscopy treatment group(P<0.05),and the postoperative HR and MAP were lower than those in the gastroscopy treatment group(P<0.05).In the treatment of patients with UEFB assisted by transparent cap,38 patients(97.44%)were successfully removed by gastroscopy at one time,and 1 patient(2.56%)failed.However,there was no statistically significant difference in the success rate of one-time foreign body removal between the transparent cap-assisted treatment group and the gastroscopy treatment group(P>0.05).Conclusion The use of transparent cap assisted emergency gastroscopy in the treatment of UEFB patients can ensure the operation field of vision during operation,effectively shorten the operation time,reduce the incidence of complications,and have good treatment tolerance and stable vital signs.However,there was no significant difference in the removal rate of foreign bodies compared with patients treated with gastroscopy.
