Objective To analyze the characteristics and epidemiology of the disease spectrum of patients involved in the Asian Games in Hangzhou,China,who were received by a guarantee hospital,and to summarize the experience of medical guarantee in the designated hospitals for large sports events.Methods Epidemiological characteristics and disease profiles of patients involved in the games were described and analyzed by collecting and organizing information sheets on patients who visited the clinic in the lead-up to the Asian Games and during the Asian Games competition.Results(1)A total of 324 race-related patients were seen in the Asian Games clinic area,with an average age of 28(20,42)years old,of which 16(4.94%)were seriously ill patients and 308(95.06%)were non-seriously ill patients;(2)The top three categories of race-related patients were work staff 206(63.58%),media/broadcasters 52(16.05%),and volunteers 23(7.10%);(3)The top three disease systems of patients were injury/trauma-related 103(31.79%),respiratory system 49(15.12%),and digestive system 38(11.73%).Conclusion The Hangzhou Asian Games Protection Hospital receives patients with acute and chronic injuries,respiratory diseases and digestive diseases,which are characterized by focus and variety of diseases.It is necessary to pay attention to the health monitoring of the staff,media and volunteers,and gradually strengthen the manpower and material resources for the diagnosis and treatment of trauma,respiratory and digestive diseases according to the time of the event.
