The evolution of the concept"political economy"in modern China is also the development of the subject of political economy,from passive implantation to creative integration with native ideological traditions,and then to the formation of an independent academic system.Since the mid-nineteenth century,the concept"political economy"had gone through a coexistence of multiple translations,a borrowing of the concept"economics"and an application of academic disciplines,and eventually established a closerconnection with Marxism,opening up a path which is very different from that of the West.The evolution of the concept"political economy"provides a new perspective for understanding the dual paradigms in current economic research,and discussing the trend and mission of political economy in China.
