Analysis of the Trade Structure of Sino-Dutch Porcelain(1729-1794):From the Perspective of Dutch East India Company's Trade with China
More than 200 years from the late Ming Dynasty to the early Qing Dynasty were the prime time for the export of Chinese porcelain,especially the opening of new shipping routes at the end of the 15 th century,which promoted the formation of a unified global market for porcelain,and the world economic center experienced the transformation from Portugal to the Netherlands,and the dominant position of the Dutch East India Company in the Sino-European porcelain trade was also established.The Sino-Dutch porcelain trade spans the golden and declining stages of Chinese porcelain exports,and is an extremely important part of the study of Sino-European porcelain trade.Based on the perspective of the Dutch East India Company's trade with China,this paper finds that the structure of the Dutch East India Company's distribution of Chinese porcelain in the European market from 1729 to 1794 changes,and this change also reflects the historical process and characteristics of the Sino-European porcelain trade from prosperity to decline to a certain extent.
