Application of organoid culture technology in the simulation of sepsis microenvironment and the analysis of disease mechanism
Sepsis is a critical illness syndrome caused by infection.Excessive and uncontrolled immune responses may lead to severe organs and tissues damage, with high morbidity and mortality rates.Currently, there is no specific treatment strategy that can effectively prevent the development of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome during sepsis.Organoid culture technology is a complex three-dimensional in vitro organ model system.Organoids extracted from human pluripotent stem cells or primitive human donor tissues have been used to address fundamental questions about human development, stem cell biology and organ regeneration. Now,the focus has shifted to implementing organic compounds for biological discovery and advancing existing systems to more realistically summarize natural organs. With the continuous improvement and perfection of technology, organoids will play an increasingly important role in many aspects such as disease modeling and mechanism research, drug screening and evaluation, regenerative medicine and organ repair in sepsis and organ damage.
