A 10 kV distribution network relay protection tuning optimization scheme based on time gradation coordination
Aims:This paper aims to solve the problem of the simultaneous action both the branch line protection and the main line protection when a short circuit fault occurs in a 10 kV distribution network.Methods:The common topology of the 10 kV distribution network was studied;and a three-level protection setting scheme was proposed based on the protection task of the distribution network.The timing of the three-level protection and the action of the protection when the short-circuit fault occurred in each section of the system were analyzed;and the tuning optimization scheme of the time-level difference was proposed for the phenomenon theory of simultaneous operation of the protection.Results:Through the time-graded optimization tuning method,the branch line protection and the main line protection of the 10 kV distribution network no longer trip at the same time;and the authenticity and feasibility of the optimization scheme were verified by the PSCAD software simulation.Conclusions:The tuning optimization scheme based on time-graded coordination can well solve the problem that the protection is difficult to cooperate in the 10 kV distribution network and the problem that the branch line protection and the main line protection are easy to operate at the same time when the fault occurs with good practical application value.
