Aims:T his paper aims to determine the accurate value of the Italian domination number γw2(Jn)of the flower snarks Jn.Methods:A rule of transfer weights from columns with initial weights of at least 2 to adjacent columns was established.The new average weight of each column was analyzed to determinate the lower bound of the flower snarks Jn.By providing a specific labeling scheme,the upper bound of the Italian domination number of the flower snarks Jn was determined.Results:By comparing the upper bound and the lower bound,the accurate value of the Italian domination number γw2(Jn)of the flower snarks Jn and the optimal labeling scheme was determined.Conclusions:When n≥3,the Italian domination number of the flower snarks Jn is γw2(Jn)=「5n/3(」).
