Status and Influencing Factors of Treatment and Utilization of Layer Manure in Jiangsu Province
In order to understand the situation of the treatment and utilization of layer manure in Jiangsu province,the meth-od of random sampling investigation was adopted,from December 2022 to March 2023,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 161 layer farms in 12 cities of Jiangsu province on the scale of breeding,the mode of breeding,the mode of excrement re-moval,the period of excrement removal,the motivation of excrement removal,whether the equipment subsidy was available,the treatment mode of chicken excrement,the type of chicken excrement products,the direction of chicken excrement products and the benefit of chicken excrement products,and carried on the statistical analysis to the investigation data.The results showed that 98.1%of the poultry farms used mechanical manure removal,82.6%insisted on cleaning manure every day,and 136 poultry farms were affected by environmental factors,84 farms received subsidies for chicken manure treatment equipment,accounting for 52.2%,and aerobic composting became the main method of chicken manure treatment,accounting for 58.4%(94 farms).The results also showed that there were 142 farms producing farm manure,accounting for 88.2%,and 101 farms selling all chicken manure products,accounting for 62.7%.The average income from the sale of chicken manure products was 67.2 yuan per ton.Fur-ther analysis revealed that,the scale of poultry farming had significant effects on the mode of manure removal,the period of ma-nure removal,whether the equipment subsidy was available,the type of chicken manure products,the direction of chicken ma-nure products,and the price and cost of chicken manure products(P<0.05 or P<0.01),there were significant effects of different farming methods on the mode of manure removal,the amount of motivation to deal with chicken manure,whether the equipment subsidy was available,and the direction of chicken manure products(P<0.05 or P<0.01),the interaction between the scale and mode of cultivation had significant effect on the cost of chicken manure treatment(P<0.05).It was suggested that appropriate scale and improvement of cage breeding were important ways to promote the level of green development of layer industry.
