Design Overview and Application of Intelligent Inspection Robots for Laying Hen Farming
To address the issues of low inspection efficiency and high labor intensity in large-scale laying hen farming,an intelligent inspection robot suitable for stacked cage laying hen houses was designed.The inspection robot is equipped with a power supply system,a control host system,a wireless communication system,a navigation and obstacle avoidance system,and a parameter acquisition system.At the same time,the inspection robot builds inspection maps and plans the path routes based on radio frequency identification(RFID)and magnetic navigation technology to achieve autonomous movement and obstacle avoidance.Deep learning algorithms such as EfficientNet-Lite0 were used to identify weak,dead and non-laying hens,monitoring the health status of the flock.Using SQL Server technology,a data integration and management system was developed to integrate and analyze the data collected from the poultry house,providing real-time monitoring and alerts on the farming environment and flock health.The demonstrative application results at the Yuxi Breeding Base of Fujian Guangyang Egg Industry showed that the inspection robot could carry out independent inspections according to instructions,increasing the inspection efficiency of breeding personnel by 75%.The results indicated that the designed intelligent inspection robot effectively reduced labor intensity and ensured the health and production performance of the laying hens,demonstrating significant potential for application and promotion.
