Research on the Application of CBL Teaching Method in the Practice Teaching of Cardiology Department
Objective To explore the application of case-based learning(CBL)in the practice teaching of cardiology.Methods A total of 90 interns who rotated in the cardiology department of Suzhou Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine Hospital from April 2020 to May 2022 were selected as the research subjects,and they were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group with 45 interns in each group.The conventional teaching mode was adopted in the control group,and the CBL teaching method on the basis of the control group was added in the observation group.The teaching results of the two groups were compared.Results There were no significant difference in the theoretical scores and practical operation ability scores between the two groups at the time of admission(P>0.05).The theoretical scores and practical operation ability scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Interns in the observation group were significantly more satisfied with teaching methods,learning interest,ability improvement,and thinking change than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of the interns in the observation group were higher than those in the control group in terms of learning initiative,learning engagement,and knowledge point mastery completion,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The observation group had higher teaching quality scores than the control group in terms of classroom atmosphere,teacher-student interaction,clinical thinking ability cultivation,teaching standardization,professional knowledge and skills,improving students'analytical and problem-solving abilities,enhancing teamwork spirit,and enhancing expression and communication abilities,with statistical significances(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of CBL teaching method in the practice teaching of cardiology can improve the comprehensive ability and teaching satisfaction of interns,and improve the teaching quality.
