Objective To explore the effect of the ideological and political teaching under the outcome-based education(OBE)concept in respiratory medicine clinical probation.Methods A total of 109 grade 2018 five-year clinical medicine interns from the Third Affiliated Hospital of Jinzhou Medical University from February to December 2022 were selected and randomly divided into the experimental group(n=55)and the control group(n=54).The ideological and political teaching under the OBE concept was adopted in the experimental group,while the traditional teaching method was adopted in the control group.Statistical analysis was carried out through the assessment of theoretical knowledge and the assessment of thinking ability in clinical diagnosis and treatment of internal medicine.Then,the students in the experimental group were given a satisfaction questionnaire.Results The test scores of theoretical knowledge and clinical thinking ability of students in experimental group[(78.91±5.09)points and(76.28±6.26)points]were higher than those of control group[(85.56±3.83)points and(80.89±3.84)points],and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The questionnaire of the experimental group showed that 80.0%(44/55)of the students were satisfied with the ideological and political teaching under the OBE concept.90.9%(50/55)students believed that this teaching method stimulated their interest in learning.89.1%(49/55)of the students thought that the doctor-patient communication ability and humanistic quality had been strengthened.81.8%(45/55)of the students believed that they had established the spirit of caring for life and being a healer.70.9%(39/55)of the students thought that knowledge points and ideological and political elements of the course could be effectively integrated.Only 69.1%(38/55)of the students thought that they had improved their thinking ability in clinical diagnosis and treatment.Conclusion The application of ideological and political teaching under the OBE concept in clinical probation of respiratory medicine can not only stimulate students'learning interest,but also help shape students'medical values,with good teaching effect.
