Objective To explore the application effect of virtual standard patient teaching method in medical students'practice. Methods A total of 60 undergraduate students in the emergency medicine department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University North District from July to December 2021 were randomly divided into control group and observation group. The observation group used virtual standardized patients for practice teaching. The control group used the traditional ward round mode. After the internship, the clinical skills and humanistic care of the two groups of students were assessed, and a questionnaire survey was conducted. Results The medical history score of observation group[(92.70±0.41)points]was higher than that of control group[(87.00±0.53)points].The physical examination score of observation group[(92.87±0.39)points]was higher than that of control group[(88.13±0.54)points].The score of the first course record in the observation group[(92.73±0.43)points]was higher than that in the control group[(87.77±0.52)points].The humanistic care performance score of interns in the observation group[(92.93±0.40)points]was higher than that in the control group[(86.80±0.57)points],and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).According to the questionnaire, students in observation group and control group learning interest improvement[100%(30/30)vs.73.33%(21/30)],communication ability[93.33%(28/30)vs.76.67%(22/30)],clinical skill level[96.67%(29/30)vs.73.33%(21/30)]and clinical thinking ability improvement[90%(27/30)vs.66.67%(20/30)]were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of virtualization standard in medical students'emergency practice can improve their learning interest and situational awareness, and cultivate their clinical thinking.
