The Impact of PBL Teaching Method on Teaching Quality in Pediatric Education
Objective To explore the impact of problem-based learning(PBL)on teaching quality in pediatric education. Methods From July 2020 to June 2022,63 clinical medical interns who interned in the Department of Pediatrics at Hebei University Affiliated Hospital were selected using a random list method and included in the control group and study group, respectively.Compare the theoretical and skill assessment scores of two groups of interns,as well as their recognition of the teaching mode. Results In terms of theoretical assessment scores, the research group scored higher than the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05)in the scores of medical ethics, medical conduct, medical history collection, and physical examination between the two groups in terms of skill assessment scores. The case analysis and auxiliary examination analysis scores of the research group were higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The recognition of the PBL teaching method received by the research group interns was higher than that of the traditional teaching mode received by the control group interns, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of PBL teaching mode in pediatric teaching can effectively improve the theoretical knowledge and clinical practice skills of clinical medical interns, especially the ability of disease diagnosis and analysis, and this teaching mode has been highly recognized by interns.
