Ideological and political education is an educational concept under the background of the new era for the achievement of comprehensive education,which not only emphasizes the education of the professional knowledge,but also the significance of ideological and political education in the comprehensive cultivation of college talents.There are 16 professional courses in stomatology,and a series of textbooks for medical undergraduates,graduate students,residential training and higher vocational school.Integrating ideological and political content into curriculum is the foundation and core of high-quality ideological and political education.In recent years,ideological and political education has been applied in the teaching of stomatology majors.Focusing on three questions,including"how to excavate ideological and political elements of curriculum""how to implement ideological and political education of curriculum"and"how to evaluate its capacity",this paper will summarize the related elements that can be integrated with the syllabus and teaching methods.It will also analyze the measurements to improve teachers'ability and evaluate the effectiveness of ideological and political education.It is helpful to improve the integration and application of"ideological and political education"into stomatology curriculum,fully reflecting the educational goals.
