The Application of BOPPPS Teaching Mode Combined With OSCE in Clinical Teaching of Internal Medicine
Objective To explore the application effect of BOPPPS teaching mode combined with objective structured clinical examination(OSCE)in internal medicine clinical teaching.Methods A total of 50 medical students who underwent clinical internships in the department of cardiology at Chongqing University Affiliated Cancer Hospital from June 2021 to June 2022 were selected as the research subjects.They were divided into a research group and a control group based on the different teaching modes they received,with 25 students in each group.The reference group were adopted traditional teaching mode,while the research group were adopted BOPPPS teaching mode combined with OSCE.The assessment scores,learning engagement,teaching quality,and teaching satisfaction between two groups of students were compared.Results The scores of theory examination,medical history collection,medical record writing,clinical case analysis and clinical skills in the study group were higher than those in the reference group(P<0.05).The total score of UWES-S scale and the scores of vitality,concentration and dedication in the study group were higher than those in the reference group(P<0.05).The scores of DREEM scale in the research group were higher than those in the reference group(P<0.05)in terms of perception of learning,perception of environment,perception of teachers,self-cognition in academic aspects and self-cognition in social aspects.The total satisfaction rate of students in the study group was 96.00%,which was higher than that in the reference group(76.00%)(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of BOPPPS teaching model combined with OSCE in internal medicine clinical teaching is effective,which can improve the comprehensive ability of students,and the teaching quality and teaching satisfaction are good.
