Application of 3D Printing Model Combined With Flipped Classroom in Minimally Invasive Training of Spinal Surgery
Objective To explore the application effect of flipped classroom combined with 3D printing model teaching in the standardized training of resident doctors in spinal surgery. Methods A total of 42 students who studied at the Spinal Surgery Minimally Invasive Center of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine from May 2020 to May 2022 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into a study group and a control group.21 students in the study group received flipped classroom combined with 3D printing model teaching, while 21 students in the control group received simple flipped classroom teaching and explanation. Results There was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05)in the pre-training test scores and minimally invasive theoretical knowledge scores between the two groups of trainees. After the training, the research group's clinical knowledge and basic skills of minimally invasive spine surgery,as well as the improvement of minimally invasive surgical skills and overall satisfaction, were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of 3D printing model teaching and flipped classroom can significantly improve the learning quality and overall satisfaction of spinal surgery trainees, and enhance the effectiveness of minimally invasive spinal training.A new teaching model for minimally invasive training in spinal surgery.
