Study on the Application of Cooperative Trial Teaching Method Combined With Simulation Simulator in Obstetrics and Gynecology Apprenticeship
Objective To analyze the effect of cooperative trial teaching method combined with simulation simulator in the active integration internship of obstetrics and gynecology.Methods In October 2022,a total of 131 students who were trainees in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at the Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University were selected and randomly divided into two groups:66 students in the study group were taught by the cooperative attempt teaching method combined with simulation simulators,and 65 students in the control group were taught by the case-based learning(CBL)method.The most common complication of obstetrics and gynecology-postpartum hemorrhage was selected as the teaching content to evaluate the teaching effectiveness.The teaching effect was evaluated by theory test,Mini-CEX,student evaluation form,and post-course questionnaire form.Results The theoretical test scores,the scores in the Mini-CEX rating scale,and the satisfaction of the post-class questionnaire of the study group were significantly higher than those of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001),and the ratings of the students in the study group on the basic teaching skills,teaching content,teaching methods,and teaching effectiveness of the lead teachers were much higher than those in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001),and the ratings in teacher ethics and teaching management were consistent,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion In the teaching of active and integrated internship in obstetrics and gynecology,the application of cooperative trial teaching method combined with simulation simulator can effectively promote the learning of theoretical knowledge,improve the level of physical examination and operational skills,mobilize students'initiative and enthusiasm for learning,and can truly achieve"active"and"integrated".It can make students make more accurate clinical judgment,better humanistic care and improve their overall performance in clinical work,significantly improve the teaching effect of clinical practice,and improve students'subjective evaluation of teachers and better reflect teachers'teaching ability and value,which is worth promoting and applying in undergraduate teaching of medical students.
