Application of PBL Teaching Method in Standardized Training of Residents in Oncology Department
Objective To explore the application effect of problem-based learning(PBL)in standardized training for resident oncologists. Methods A total of 46 resident physicians who underwent rotation in the oncology department at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine from March 2021 to March 2022 were selected and randomly divided into two groups, each containing 23 students. In the control group, the routine teaching mode was implemented, while in the experimental group,PBL teaching was implemented for training. The differences in theoretical knowledge, skill operation ability, clinical thinking ability, and doctor-patient communication ability between the two training methods were compared.Additionally,a questionnaire survey was conducted to assess the satisfaction of both groups with the teaching methods used. Results The theoretical exam scores of the experimental group students were higher than those of the control group, and the clinical thinking ability scores of the experimental group(85.09±6.96)points were higher than those of the control group(79.83±6.12)points,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The skill operation ability score of the experimental group students(84.52±5.91)points was higher than that of the control group(79.43±6.12)points,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the total satisfaction rate of teaching in the experimental group was significantly improved, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of the PBL teaching method can improve the clinical thinking, skill operation and theoretical knowledge The PBL teaching method improve the teaching effect, which has practical significance for the teaching reform of oncology department.
