Application of Mind Mapping and PBL Teaching Method in Clinical Medical Online Internship Teaching
Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of combining mind mapping and PBL teaching methods in clinical medical online internship,in order to promote students'learning and enhance their clinical thinking abilities. Methods A total of 36 interns were selected from the department of nephrology of the seventh Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University from April to October 2022.Interns were randomly divided into a control group and an experimental group with 18 students in each group. The control group were received traditional teaching, while the experimental group were used mind mapping and PBL teaching methods. The learning outcomes of both groups were assessed, including theoretical assessment and subjective evaluation. Results The theoretical knowledge and medical record analysis assessment scores of the research group were higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In terms of teaching satisfaction, literature retrieval ability,self-learning ability, and problem-solving ability, the research group scored higher than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusion Combining mind mapping and PBL teaching methods is an effective teaching model for clinical medical online internships that can improve students'self-directed learning, collaboration, innovation, and clinical thinking ability,as well as improve the quality and satisfaction of online internships, contributing to the reform of medical education.
