Exploration on Combining Workshop and CBL Teaching Model in Practical Teaching of Prosthodontics
Objective To explore the application of the workshop combined with the case-based learning(CBL)teaching method in the undergraduate practice teaching of Prosthodontics,and to evaluate its feasibility and implementation effect.Methods Including 80 undergraduates majoring in stomatology in 2016 and 2017 who were interns at the School of Stomatology of Zhengzhou University from September 2020 to June 2022.The traditional and workshop combined CBL teaching modes were conducted respectively.Practical skills assessment,case analysis,and questionnaire survey are carried out to evaluate the relevant teaching mode effects after the internship.Results There was no significant difference in temporary crown making scores between the two groups(P>0.05).The preparation scores,the total score of practical skills assessment and the case analysis scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The students in the experimental group had higher recognition of the teaching mode of workshop education combined with case teaching,and the teaching effect was better than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusion In the undergraduate practice teaching of prosthodontics,the workshop combined with CBL teaching mode can achieve a superior teaching effect compared with the traditional teaching mode.
