The Application of PDCA Cycle in the Teaching Model of Clinical Medicine Specialization-Based on LASSO Algorithm
Objective To explore the effectiveness of the PDCA cycle teaching method combined LASSO algorithm in teaching clinical medicine in post-secondary schools,and to provide reference for post-secondary clinical medicine education in other hospitals.Methods The research subjects were selected from students at the Affiliated Baiyun Hospital of Guizhou Medical University,between September 2019 and February 2022.The students who received routine teaching in 2019 were designated as the control group(n=73),and those who received the PDCA cycle teaching method in 2020 were designated as the observation group(n=58).The LASSO algorithm was utilized to identify the factors that significantly impact the satisfaction of clinical medical teaching at the Teaching Center of Baiyun Hospital,Affiliated to Guizhou Medical University.The current situation and improvement direction were determined,and a PDCA cycle teaching model was subsequently constructed.The theoretical knowledge assessment scores and practical skills operation scores of both groups were compared.Results LASSO regression analysis identified a total of 12 influencing factors on teaching quality(R2=0.867).The theoretical knowledge assessment scores and practical skills operation scores of the observation group were better than those of the control group in the three semesters,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The PDCA cycle teaching method combined LASSO algorithmcan significantly improve the quality of teaching and students'academic performance in clinical medicine specialization in Baiyun Hospital of Guizhou Medical University,and can be used in clinical teaching.
