The present study addresses the prevalent issue of insufficient faculty strength in the personnel assigned to manage university laboratories.To effectively resolve the shortage of teaching staff in laboratories,this research explores a comprehensive laboratory management model and its specific implementation strategies tailored for medical students engaged in innovation and entrepreneurship.By analyzing the existing challenges,this paper provides a detailed exposition of innovative laboratory management concepts,reforms in management models,and the selection procedures for student co-managers.From the daily management of the laboratory,the mode of college students assisting the experimental manager(called assistant for short)is explored,a wherein co-managers not only undertake conventional laboratory management tasks but also actively participate in open management,thereby establishing a student-oriented ideology that ensures efficient laboratory open management.This approach embodies the principles of student autonomy,encompassing self-management,self-reservation,and self-training,thereby fostering a conducive environment for students'laboratory experience.The co-manager management model has yielded significant outcomes,with a notable increase in approved projects within college student innovation and entrepreneurship training programs.That also significantly enhances the quality of talent cultivation for innovation and application.
