Discussion on the Implementation of Standardized Training for Residents in Cardiovascular Surgery
As an important part of the project of the standardized training for residents,the standardized training for resident surgeons in cardiovascular surgery has made an important contribution to cultivate the professional cardiovascular surgeons.By summarizing the teaching experiences in standardized training in the department and the hospital for years,a scientific,complete,flexible,standardized,practical and effective training system and training model for resident surgeons in cardiovascular surgery with the consideration of required characteristics of in-depth theoretical knowledge and adept operation techniques in professional cardiovascular surgeons was innovatively established.The training focus was both on mastering basic theoretical knowledge and boosting surgical skills through resident surgeons'involvement.Special methods and organizational procedures were established to improve the training effect,such as tutorial system for resident doctors,implementation of credit system,combination of various teaching methods in clinical training,process-oriented training modules,assessment and feedback mechanism for teachers and students,etc.The new training system and training model have significantly improved the training quality of residential surgeons in cardiovascular surgery,and at the same time can provide theoretical and practical basis for the upcoming"5+3+X"((combining M.D.degree with specialist standardization training)clinical specialist training model.
