Effectiveness of PBL Teaching Method in Teaching Imaging Assessment of Cerebral Small Vessel Disease
Objective To explore the application effect of problem-based learning(PBL)in the imaging assessment teaching of cerebral small vessel disease(CSVD).Method A total of 40 students in grades 2018-2020 from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine who underwent residency training from May to August 2021 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into a control group of 20 students and a study group of 20 students using a random number table. The study group was taught with the PBL teaching method, while the control group followed the traditional teaching model.A comparison was made between the two groups in terms of basic theoretical knowledge, imaging evaluation ability, and satisfaction with the teaching. Results The study group members had higher scores in basic theoretical knowledge and imaging evaluation ability[(82.30±8.03)points,(86.15±3.91)points]than the scores in basic theoretical knowledge and imaging evaluation ability[(75.70±6.99)points,(82.60±4.65)points]in control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The study group members also showed better satisfaction with the teaching compared to the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The reasonable application of PBL can effectively enhance the quality of CSVD imaging assessment teaching and improve teaching satisfaction.
