The Application of Three-department Combined Nursing Ward Round Based on Flipped Classroom and Evidence-based Concept in New Nurse Training
Objective To explore the application effect of three-department combined nursing ward round based on flipped classroom and evidence-based concept in new nurse training.Methods From January 2020 to December 2021,a total of 138 new clinical nurses in Southern University of Science and Technology Hospital participated in nursing ward rounds and their effects were analyzed retrospectively,the traditional nursing ward round from January to December 2020 was adopted as the control group(n=62),from January to December 2021,the combined nursing ward round mode based on flipped classroom and evidence-based concept was adopted as the observation group(three departments were selected from the whole hospital's internal medicine,surgery system or special regions)(n=62),the clinical comprehensive nursing ability(clinical nursing competence,critical thinking ability and evidence-based nursing ability)and teaching satisfaction of new clinical nurses were compared before and after the combined nursing round mode.Results After intervention,the clinical nursing skills,critical thinking ability,and evidence-based nursing ability scores of the observation group nurses[(44.50±6.17)points,(28.82±4.00)points,(26.82±4.77)points]were higher than those of the control group[(40.08±6.87)points,(25.28±4.56)points,(23.99±4.99)points],and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention,the observation group showed higher levels of targeted ward rounds,inquiry opinions,highlighted key points in the summary of rounds,scientific forms of rounds,and overall scores compared to the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The three-department combined nursing ward round model based on flipped classroom and evidence-based concept can significantly improve the comprehensive ability of clinical nursing and teaching satisfaction on ward round of new nurses.
