Application of Comprehensive Practical Teaching Based on Post Competence in ICU Hospital Infection Prevention and Control Training
Objective To analyze the application effect of the comprehensive practice teaching method based on post competence of hospital infection prevention and control training in the intensive care unit(ICU).Methods From March 2021 to December 2022,a total of 74 trainees of advanced training and specialist nurse training in the ICU of the internal medicine department of West China Hospital of Sichuan University were divided into two groups and different teaching methods were adopted,a total of 38 nurses in the control group and 36 nurses in the observation group. The control group was given the traditional training method of hospital infection prevention and control, and the observation group was given the comprehensive practical teaching method based on post competence. The nurses in two groups were compared with each other in terms of theoretical achievements, hand hygiene compliance and accuracy, qualified rate of equipment cleaning and disinfection, qualified rate of protective equipment wearing and stripping, occupational exposure and training satisfaction. Results The theoretical score of hospital infection prevention and control knowledge in the observation group was(88.24±3.08)points,with hand hygiene compliance of 96.96%and accuracy rate of 98.86%.The theoretical score of hospital infection prevention and control knowledge in the control group was(83.96±2.75)points,with hand hygiene compliance of 84.76%and accuracy rate of 90.54%.The observation group was significantly higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).The qualified rate of instrument and equipment cleaning and disinfection in the observation group was 97.60%,the qualified rate of wearing and removing protective equipment was 92.45%,and the training satisfaction score was(96.35±2.45)points.The qualified rate of instrument and equipment cleaning and disinfection in the control group was 90.08%,the qualified rate of wearing and removing protective equipment was 81.58%,and the training satisfaction score was(94.07±2.36)points.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),and there was no occupational exposure in either group. Conclusion The comprehensive practical teaching method based on post competence can improve the quality of hospital infection prevention and control training and teaching satisfaction.
